The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action is an important document that focuses on reconciling the Indigenous community from the tragedies that they endured throughout history. Truth and Reconciliation focuses on Residential school survivors and highlights issues that need to be addressed such as: child welfare, justice, health, language and culture, apologies, education, media and equality. This document is a very important resource that I will be using in my classroom to teach the younger generations about healing and supporting the Indigenous people. It is important to listen to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action and use Indigenous resources to begin helping and healing the community.
