First Peoples Principles of Learning
The First Peoples Principles of Learning is a very important piece of learning for students and teachers. This resource describes the Indigenous cultures perspective on education and learning in general. The focus is on people being aware of themselves, where they are, who they are, and what they are doing. It teaches students that learning does not have to be represented in a linear line. It emphasizes that learning is holistic, takes time and patience, and is embedded throughout history. The First Peoples Principles of Learning is an important resource that I will incorporate and integrate throughout my future lessons as an educator.
